The summer season may be coming to a close but Latitude Yacht Brokerage is still full steam ahead and pleased to announce the addition of Willie Lynch as their newest Yacht Broker.

Willie is originally from Dublin, Ireland and grew up sailing and racing on the Irish Sea. His racing days graduated into boat management, instruction, and maintenance that resulted in jobs around the world including Greece, Spain, and Australia before moving to Chicago in the early 2000s. After a few years with a sailing and charter business in Chicago, Willie began working with a private owner who was passionate about both sailboat and powerboat restorations and together they refit two classic Huckins. Since that time, he has been involved with over 10 refits for private owners and is one of the most knowledgeable Huckins boaters around.

Willie has sailed tens of thousands of miles between racing, deliveries, and cruising, in every role imaginable. He hopes that his broad boating background will enable him to understand what any client is looking for and provide first-hand experience and advice on all aspects of boat ownership and management. Hailey Hock discovered Latitude during the summer of 2018.  As an intern, she assisted in the development of Latitude’s Yacht Charter Division. While interning, Hailey joined brokers Ryan and Matt at the Newport Charter Show, peaking a new career interest in Yacht Charter and Brokerage.

Hailey has spent nearly all her summers growing up in Charlestown, Rhode Island.  Whether spending time on her family’s boat or working on various boats within her Rhode Island area, she has always been on the water. Most notably, Hailey pitched in five summers on the esteemed motor vessel, Aphrodite, working as a stewardess and a deckhand in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Hailey graduated from Ithaca College in May of 2019, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Communications Management and Design, with a focus in Marketing.  Shortly after graduating, she began a fulltime position as a Lead Deckhand on a 146’ Feadship that traveled the Caribbean.  After a year of traveling, Hailey decided to return home to be closer with her family and pursue a career as a Yacht & Charter Broker at Latitude Yacht Brokerage.

As the newest addition to the Latitude team, Hailey hopes to bring forth the knowledge she has gained during her travels throughout New England, Florida, the Bahamas and the Caribbean and put it into valuable action. According to Soldboats.com 260 used boats in the Northeast between 30’-70’ have sold in June 2020. This active market is extremely busy with very motivated buyers looking to get on the water this summer.

Inventory is very low and we continue to be aggressive with our marketing and are looking to grow our brokerage inventory, replacing the boat we have recently sold.  The easing of travel restrictions has mobilized buyers that have been in lock down for months.
